Kellianne Carfi

Kelli is the Director of Wellness Initiatives at OPEN and a clinical social worker. She received her B.S. in Family Studies from the University of New Hampshire and her Master of Social Work from Boston College. She completed her second year MSW internship at OPEN in 2013 and was hired as a full time staff member after graduation. She has experience working with adolescents and young adults, specifically related to substance use, sexual violence, domestic violence and mental health. Kelli strives to provide prevention and education on difficult topics in an engaging and approachable way.

Megan O’Hara
Director of Violence Prevention Initiatives (she/her)

Megan is the Director of Violence Prevention Initiatives at OPEN and a licensed independent clinical social worker. Megan has worked in health promotion and prevention efforts on college campuses since 2013. Previously, she worked as an outpatient therapist and high school social justice teacher. Megan earned her B.A. in Psychology and Master of Education from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Social Work from Boston College. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, painting, exploring bookstores, and playing volleyball.

Kirsten M. Kuhn-Kutteh

Kirsten is the Associate Director of Wellness Initiatives at OPEN and a licensed independent clinical social worker. They earned a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in community assessment, program design, implementation, and evaluation as well as a Master of Social Work degree majoring in clinical social work with a specialization in trauma and violence from Boston University. Kirsten joined OPEN in fall 2019. Kirsten has additional experience working in academic advising, housing case management, LGBTQ+ state policy, and behavioral health therapy at a LGBTQ+ community health center. At OPEN, Kirsten meets with students through Alcohol & Other Drug services, the Sexual Violence Resource Center, and Community Consultation. Kirsten also manages alcohol and other drug education initiatives including Narcan distribution and supports the administration of the Survey on Sexual and Gender-Based Harassment. They are passionate about supporting student growth, healing, and resilience through harm reduction and trauma-informed lenses. Outside of the office, Kirsten spends their time cuddling their two cats, going on nature walks, wheel-throwing pottery, and talking to anyone who will listen about marine biology.

Kyla Martin
Confidential Resource Advisor (she/her)

Kyla staffs OPEN’s Confidential Resource Advising services and serves as a SHAPE Facilitator. She graduated from Macalester College with a B.A. in Mathematics, earned a M.S. in College Student Development and Counseling from Northeastern University, and holds a graduate certificate in Restorative Practices from the International Institute for Restorative Practices. She has engaged in sexual violence prevention and response initiatives at Louisiana State University, Tufts University, Wheaton College, and Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. In previous positions, she has worked with both students impacted and accused of sexual violence to assist them through the investigation and adjudication process by providing support and resources. In her free time, she enjoys baking, playing golf, and spending time with her partner, pupper, and little one.

Kimberly Bement

Kim is the Assistant Director for Health Education at OPEN. She received her B.S. in Public Health Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and her M.S. in Community Health Education at Merrimack College. Kim was a NASPA certified Peer Health Educator at UMass where she got experience sharing resources relating to mental health, self-care, alcohol and other drugs and sexual health with the campus community. Kim joined the OPEN team in January 2022 looking to continue her passion for health promotion. In her free time, Kim enjoys going to workout classes, reading, and traveling around New England!

Clara Cahill Farella

Clara is an Assistant Director at OPEN. She earned her B.A. in Applied Psychology and Human Development as well as her M.A. in Higher Education from Boston College, with a concentration in Spirituality, Faith, and Formation. At OPEN, Clara manages the Up2Us: Bystander Intervention program, which employs students who give presentations about how to be active and prosocial bystanders in instances of sexual violence to their peers. Clara also helps staff OPEN’s Sexual Violence Resource Center and enjoys accompanying survivors along their healing journey. Clara is passionate about being a conversation partner for students as they navigate life at Northeastern and always enjoys making new connections. In her free time, Clara likes to try out new recipes, accumulate more books than she can read, and drink copious amounts of Irish Breakfast tea.
Elizabeth Coscia

Elizabeth is an Assistant Director at OPEN and a licensed clinical social worker. She joined the OPEN team in 2022 after earning both her B.A in Applied Psychology and Human Development and her Master’s of Social Work at Boston College, where she focused on public health and clinical social work. Elizabeth has experience running support groups for survivors of sexual assault, providing support services to those who have been impacted by sexual violence, and organizing community-wide events related to healing and student wellness. Elizabeth is extremely passionate about improving access to culturally relevant survivor services and creating spaces for community care. In her spare time, Elizabeth can be found exploring new coffeeshops, reading, playing tennis, and hosting game nights with friends.

Alex Kane

Alex is an Assistant Director at OPEN. She graduated with her B.S. in Health Science from Northeastern in May of 2022, and completed her Master of Public Health in August of 2023. Alex joined the OPEN team in August of 2021 as a Graduate Assistant for Sexual Health Promotion, and in January of 2023 transitioned to a full-time position. She works with students for alcohol and other drug prevention meetings and SHAPE meetings. Alex also contributes to OPEN’s sexual health and general wellness programming, in addition to working with the Fraternity and Sorority Life community at Northeastern. In her free time, she enjoys drinking coffee, trying out new recipes, reading, and exploring Boston.

Colin Griffiths

Colin is an Assistant Director at OPEN. He graduated with his B.A. in History and with a minor in Theology from Boston College in May 2021, and completed his Master of Social Work in May 2023 at Boston College. Prior to his work at OPEN, Colin worked as an individual therapist at a private practice working with folks of various ages and backgrounds. He also previously was a MSW intern at OPEN for the 2022-23 academic year working with students around substance use. Colin is passionate about facilitating non-judgmental conversations around substance use, wellness, and navigating the social life of a college student. In his spare time, he roams Boston looking for the best cup of coffee, showing off his dog Baxter, hunting down vinyl, and planning events with friends!
Olivia Duncan

Olivia is the Administrative Assistant at OPEN. She earned her B.A. from Occidental College in Diplomacy and World Affairs where she served as part of the Occidental Sexual Assault Coalition (OSAC), a student-run survivor advocacy group. She also has experience in international policy research, with a specific focus on menstrual health equity, sustainable development, and gender-based violence policies in global cities. Olivia is passionate about survivor services and community-based approaches to healing and growth. In her free time, she enjoys reading, dancing, and drinking tea.

Lauren is a clinical student joining the OPEN team for the 2024-2025 school year. She is a recent graduate of Northeastern University with a degree in Health Science. She is now pursuing her Masters in Social Work at Boston College. At BC, Lauren is part of the Black Leadership Initiative (BLI) program where she will focus on bringing mental health equality to all populations. In her free time, she loves reading, drawing, hiking, and watching documentaries!

Cheyenne is a third-year student pursuing a major in Cell and Molecular Biology and a minor in Ethics. As a Husky-to-Husky peer educator, she is eager to be involved with health education. In the Northeastern community, she is involved with the Re-Game XR lab as well as the Northeastern Emergency Medical Services club. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her pets, taking care of her plants, as well as playing various video games!
Caroline Gable

Caroline is a second-year Psychology student with minors in Public Health and Spanish. Caroline is very passionate about the importance of equitable and accessible behavioral healthcare and health education for all. On campus, she is a resident assistant, teaching assistant, an editor for Northeastern’s science magazine, and an active member of ‘NEURONS’ club and PsyClub. Originally from Boulder, Colorado, Caroline loves to write, paint, hike, and eat sushi in her free time!

Jessica just graduated with her B.S. in Health Science in May of 2024, and she is very passionate about health equity and education, social justice, and sexual violence prevention. On campus, she is a resident assistant, teaching assistant, and member of Northeastern’s Feminist Student Organization. Jacob Kline

Jacob is a fourth-year student majoring in Computer Science and is pursuing the Pre-Med track. As a Sexual Violence Prevention Educator, Jacob is committed to enhancing campus safety and education around sexual violence. Actively involved with NU SHARE (Sexual Health Advocacy, Resources, and Education), he supports efforts to provide safer sex resources and promote awareness throughout the community. In his free time, Jacob enjoys performing stand-up comedy and is passionate about foreign language study. Shana is an Up2Us educator at OPEN. She studies Psychology and Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Marketing Analytics. At OPEN, Shana works with the Up2Us: Bystander Intervention program, where she gives presentations about how to be an active bystander in cases of sexual violence. Kelly is a 4th year Health Science major with a minor in Psychology. Having been a part of sexual violence education and prevention work through NEU Sexual Assault Response Coalition since they arrived at Northeastern, they are eager to take on this educator position and highly value peer-based education. They previously served as the Events Co-President of SARC for two and a half years, and she is now the Vice President. They also have been on the eboard of Boston Health Initiative for 2 years and are passionate about health equity and sexual health education and activism. Outside of the education and activism space, they like to play guitar, sing, write music and poetry, and spend time in nature with their friends!
